Getting here is straightforward but requires a car. From Fribourg city, it's a 40-minute drive on winding but well-paved roads, and you'll pass through the village of Plaffeien on the way. Parking at the cable car station costs 5 CHF for the day. If you're coming by public transport, the bus from Fribourg runs every hour and takes about 50 minutes, but it drops you in the village center, which is still a 15-minute walk uphill to the lift.

For accommodation, the Hotel Riggiblick is the most convenient option, with double rooms starting around 150 CHF per night, and the breakfast spread includes local honey and fresh bread. Book ahead in the summer, because the place only has 20 rooms.
