Lykkers, can we talk about Vitamin C for a second? I feel like every time my skin starts looking tired, uneven, or just a little "meh," I end up going back to Vitamin C. It's one of those ingredients that I've never completely removed from my routine because I genuinely love how it makes my skin look over time.
The only problem? My skin can be a little dramatic sometimes. I've tried Vitamin C serums that left my face feeling irritated and sensitive, so now I'm pretty picky about which ones I use. Recently, these two have been getting a lot of attention in my routine.
1. OGEE Vitamin C THDA 20% Elixir
I'll admit it—the 20% concentration scared me a little at first. Whenever I see a high percentage Vitamin C product, I automatically assume my skin is about to complain. But surprisingly, that hasn't happened with this one. I've been using it for a while now, and my skin seems to be handling it really well. It feels nourishing when I apply it, and I haven't noticed the usual sensitivity that sometimes comes with stronger Vitamin C products.
2. Jumiso Brightening & Balancing Serum
This one was much easier on my wallet, which immediately earned some points from me. I've been using it consistently for about a month, and honestly, it's become one of those products I don't even have to think about. It absorbs quickly, doesn't feel sticky, and layers nicely with the rest of my skincare. I was especially excited to see niacinamide in the formula because that's one ingredient my skin almost always loves. Whenever niacinamide and Vitamin C show up together, I'm automatically interested.
If OGEE is the serum I use when I want to feel fancy, Jumiso is the one that quietly shows up every day and does its job. Some mornings I reach for OGEE because I feel like giving my skin a little extra attention. Other days, I grab Jumiso without even thinking because it's just become part of my routine. At this point, I've stopped looking for a "perfect" Vitamin C serum. I'm much more interested in finding formulas that my skin actually enjoys using.
